Dog lodges on our Irish Sea ferries

Norfolkline is pleased to announce that from August 2010 we are introducing a new Dog Lodge area onboard our vessels on the Belfast - Liverpool route.

One of Norfolkline’s competitive advantages over airlines is that we are able to carry pet dogs. However, given the 8 hour duration of the Belfast – Liverpool sailing, having to leave a dog in a car or in a kennel is not ideal. Primarily for this reason, Norfolkline has created a ‘Dog Lodge’ on the Port side of the Promenade deck on the Lagan and Mersey Viking therefore providing access to your pet throughout the duration of your journey. As a result, passengers are not only able to visit their dog whilst onboard the ship but are also able to exercise them under controlled conditions.

Note: Animals other than guide dogs and disability assistance are not permitted in the passenger areas onboard ship. A number of dog kennels are available on all our ships and can be booked on the Belfast sailings for £15 per single journey. On the Dublin sailings the kennels are on a first come first serve basis. Any foot passengers or cyclists travelling with their dog must place their dog in a kennel onboard.
