Which? Ferry Company Do You Want To Travel With?

The DFDS Seaways UK passenger routes have been awarded with a prestigious industry accolade, beating fierce competition from other major ferry operators.
Following an extensive consumer survey carried out in January 2011, the consumer body Which? has named DFDS Seaways as its only ‘Recommended Provider’ for ferry travel.
In results published in the July issue of Which? Travel magazine, DFDS Seaways scored above average in all aspects of the research, especially for ease of booking and value for money, and achieved an overall customer score of 72%.
Chris Newey, Director of Passenger Services for the DFDS Seaways English Channel route, said:
“This is a fantastic endorsement from the UK’s leading independent consumer body. We strive to deliver excellent customer service and value for money across all of our UK routes, and are delighted this has been recognised.
“As part of our determination to continually improve, we encourage all of our customers to fill in customer feedback forms, which we review on a regular basis and implement changes where necessary, so that our services will always be first rate.”
Recommended Provider status is awarded to those services that have performed to the highest standards in Which?’s rigorous testing and analysis. The survey approached almost 6,500 consumers across the UK and it was the 33% of consumers who had travelled by ferry within the last two years who were called upon to answer questions about the ferry companies.
