Marianne Baadsgaard
Application Manager - Logistics
I started working with Norfolkline Intermodal Division in January 2005. After 5 years with A.P.Moller-Maersk and Maersk Line, I was interesting in working in other parts of the Group to broaden my horizon.
I chose Norfolkline, as I wanted to work in a smaller organization and my starting position as Management Assistant to the Intermodal Divisional management offered an opportunity to get a wide insight to the various parts of the business.
I soon found out that within Norfolkline there is a great possibility to get involved in many different aspects and projects that spans across the entire Group.
Lately I was involved in preparatory work for a new strategy definition for the Logistics Pillar, including participating in a 2 day workshop held at the APMM headquarters in Copenhagen. I'm proud that I was asked to participate and that I could add some value in this process.
For me the great thing about working for Norfolkline is the possibility to grow with the job and also to be able to work with people from different countries and locations.
The fact that I can now take on a new job after 2 years with the company also illustrates the dynamics of our Group very well I think. I've experienced that Norfolkline is about finding the right person for the job and about giving the people the opportunity to excel - no matter where you are in the organization.
I also appreciate that the company is able to see the people and not a number - I truly feel that I'm not just another staff, but that I'm being recognized for what I can bring to the company and for who I am. The APMM values for honesty, humbleness and integrity are something that I also personally value very highly and I feel lucky to be able to work in and for a company that in many ways are in harmony with what I stand for.
It makes me proud.
