Emmie Bernoster

MISE trainee at Norfolkline

After my graduation in June 2005 from The Hague University, European Studies, I was in doubt…..Continuing school to get a masters degree or start working. Then my eye fell on a job add in a national newspaper: A traineeship, meaning a job AND additional education, the best combination for me!

I applied in June and started working the 18th of July 2005. Time has gone so fast since then. I’ve lived and worked in Scheveningen, The Netherlands, Dover, England followed by Bruges, Belgium where I am now. Norfolkline is a very diverse company, very open for ambitious people. If you really want to achieve something it’s possible in this company. Norfolkline also spends time on social networking. In June this year we will have an international football tournament in The Netherlands. People from all over Europe working in Norfolkline will come to play, it will be great fun!

The best thing that happened to me is that I actually found out what I want to do in the future. My education was very general but thanks to the different jobs I’ve been in I now know where my qualities and interests are!
