Norfolkline receives top recognition at the Telegraph Travel Awards 2007

Norfolkline, the exclusive Dover – Dunkerque passenger ferry operator, has been “Highly Recommended” in “Best Ferry Company” category of the 2007 Telegraph Travel Awards.

All votes are cast by readers of the Daily and Sunday Telegraph newspapers and in receiving the “Highly Recommended” mark of approval, Norfolkline has also emerged as the most popular Dover based ferry operator.

Norfolkline’s Dover – Dunkerque service is now established as a regular award winner, having won “Best European Crossing Operator” at previous Telegraph Travel Awards and “Outstanding Ferry Concept of 2005” for the design of the new ships at the ShipPax Awards, organised in conjunction with the Cruise & Ferry Info top industry publication.

The company has made the biggest single, multi-million pound investment of any operator on the channel routes from Dover in recent years, introducing a new fleet of three purpose-built ships to the Dover – Dunkerque service.

The ships each have capacity for 220 cars, 780 passengers, up to 120 freight vehicles and operate up to 24 sailings daily, with a crossing time of one hour 45 minutes.
